Spiritual Direction
Sacred Space, Spiritual Accompaniment
As a Spiritual Director, I accompany deeply committed people who yearn to follow a loving God, in intimate relationship with the Divine, amid the joys and challenges, confusions and possibilities of everyday life and the shifting state of our world.
I am deeply interested in the spiritual journey and see our time in Creation as a period of Grace. I am a contemplative writer focussed on John of the Cross and our journey to Spiritual Union. It is a journey of discernment, "raising to consciousness" or "bringing into the light" that which, when left in the dark, will be a barrier in our journey with God.
“Spiritual Accompaniment is really nothing more than a way of leading us to see and obey the real director, the Holy Spirit, hidden in the depth of our soul” — THOMAS MERTON
I can work with familial, spiritual and church abuse, prejudice, church structures and the impact these factors have on the body of Christ inside of and outside of the institutional church, including members of the clergy and those called to ministry.
Spiritual Direction is a sacred relationship where the focus is entirely on the accompanied and their relationship with God. Anything can be brought to Spiritual Direction sessions, and, in a sacred and safe space, we endeavour, with discernment, to see what is brought through the eyes of God.
